Rodney is a videographer, photographer, and social media practitioner. He makes content for small businesses to help them promote themselves on the internet. For the past three years, Rodney was able to take some of Gary’s advice and create a hyper-local news source on Facebook and Instagram. It’s gotten a lot of attention from the local community, which is super awesome. But lately, he finds himself in a place where people are encouraging him to figure out more ways to monetize his business.
Gary’s Story and Advices
Rodney is monetizing the business. His friends are looking at it one dimensional. Gary suggests Rodney may consider bringing in a young hustler again. He understood that Rodney’s first attempt didn’t work out. But it’s still okay to make a second attempt at it.
Also, Gary recommends reaching out to every local business and doing at least 20 interviews per day with different local businesses on Zoom and Instagram. Right now, with all this downtime, doing one-on-one interviews on how they’re getting through the pandemic and giving them one minute at the end to promote their business would be greatly beneficial for them and Rodney.
