Laura’s Question or Topic
Laura grew up in an academic framework, where she went to the best college she could. And at 20 years old, she studied in Germany for a year.
After Laura graduated, she became a high school psychology teacher for about five years. Despite all her achievements, her desire to become an entrepreneur is still burning. So she left the industry until she became a successful one. Today, Laura is an author and a first-time mother. She’s looking forward to using access as her business model to sell her products.
Gary’s Story and Advices
The best part of the internet and just the world we live in; Everything you’re passionate about, you can execute. The reason why Gary keeps bringing up group access is that he thinks that it’s a big business idea and that it’s the most significant leverage. Gary thinks if Laura starts an infrastructure around clothes and books and access to her for three hours a week, there’s going to be a lot of opportunities, and access is going to be the vastest leverage. Laura needs to reverse engineer how much time she’s willing to give, and then she’ll be able to amortize.
If Laura chooses to go the route of selling books or clothes without access, she may have a lot of people saying that she’s not worth extra 100 bucks. So Gary recommends not doing that. Because then, Laura can bundle the fee. All of a sudden, the books will now cost $55, when everybody knows the book is $15. But what comes along with that book price is being part of a small group with access to Laura. Gary would also think that $100 a month is an incredible price point.
