Joe’s Question or Topic

Joe followed Gary’s advice and resigned in his job in tech sales to go back and work in the golf industry as golf is his passion. He is running for operations, which is different from the management and sales jobs he was doing his whole life. His question to Gary is about how he can keep the perspective of moving forward and be patient in learning a new field that he doesn’t know anything about.

Gary’s Story and Advices

It is as simple as trying, having good intentions, and when you make a mistake, you own it and be accountable. Every second you sit there and dwell that you let someone down, or disappointing yourself is a second you’re not putting into figuring out how to be better at the new field that you’re trying to perfect.
