Jamal was studying in a bible college with a major in secondary education about four or five years ago. He wanted to become either a high school teacher or a youth pastor. However, he got kicked out of school because his parents weren’t able to pay his room and boarding when they had some family problems.
Homeless for 6 months after that, he finally got a job in a call center and it gave him enough money to get back on his feet. At the same time, Jamal also got offered to become an intern for a senior pastor who at that time also had other businesses. He juggled the two jobs at the same time but after his internship ended, he got offered to work full time at the church as the senior pastor’s personal assistant which he accepted. And about a year and a half ago, his boss asked him to become the next youth pastor.
Right now, he is responsible for taking care of about 400 kids in one of the largest churches in Chicago whose parents also come to him for advice. Jamal is asking for Gary’s advice on how to lead people of many age groups at a very young age

At 23 years old, Jamal is built to become a leader just like Gary who, at 23 years old, was ready to become a CEO. What Jamal needs to do is to continue being humble to the people who are seeking his wisdom. He needs to deploy humility every time he talks to the parents and to all his constituents.
