Mehrshad’s Question or Topic

Mehrshad was born and raised in Iran but is now currently living in Austin as a real estate agent. He graduated high school in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and went back to Iran for college and got his associate degree in architecture there. As Mehrshad reflects on his life, he always finds himself achieving his short term goals and becoming comfortable with them to the point that he just stopped achieving them. Mehrshad’s question for Gary is on how to keep going and grinding.

Gary’s Story and Advices

Mehrshad should make a macro goal for himself so that he will have the inspiration to keep on grinding. One example of that is to be the number one real estate agent in New York City.

For Gary, his macro goal is to be the best entrepreneur of all time. It doesn’t come only in the form of building successful businesses, but also giving back to most people in the entrepreneurial game, and buying the New York Jets professionally.

According to Gary, there is a letdown when someone loves the process, and Gary thinks that it is what Mehrshad feels every time he achieves his short term goals. For example, when Gary goes on a vacation, he looks forward to it for so long that when the day comes, he’s more upset because it was more fun looking forward and planning about the vacation than the vacation itself. Mehrshad just needs to make bigger goals.
