Tom has a 22-year-background in theater as an actor and director. He also ran a company for 13 years, published nine novels, wrote for Spawn comic book, wrote scripts for video games, and just finished shooting his first short film a few months ago.
Tom has consumed Gary’s content for a long time, and most of them resonated with him. However, he finds himself in trouble translating Gary’s teachings into an entertainment-based business. So Tom is with Gary right now to ask for advice.
Gary’s Story and Advices
Gary is not the biggest fan of subscription or content-based business, but rather, an access-based model.
In a world where so many people want to be writers, Gary thinks that Tom should create a $5 a month business where he helps a lot of people to become better writers by sending a detailed curriculum once a week through email and by doing live-stream Q&A sessions two times a week.
What Tom has to do next is to go to his best illustrator design friend and create a story saga. He then needs to create an Instagram account where he posts about the characters from his story. Doing this will make people be aware and be interested in the characters and this will ultimately lead Tom to sell $35 to $70 hoodies with those characters as the design.
