Zane’s Question or Topic
Zane is a professional waterman in Maui, Hawaii. He asks Gary about his definition of happiness, how he balances personal vs. financial success, and if he sees himself as having a healthy balance of mind, body, and spirit.
Gary’s Story and Advices
Until six years ago, Gary’s body was not healthy at all. And that’s only when he got serious about health and fitness. In terms of having a healthy mind and happiness, he believes he always has them as his mind has always been his driving force.
For Gary, the definition of happiness is the ability to do what you want to do every day, which is just a remarkable gift. And that is why he wants so many people to go into their passion and not worry about making a million dollars, but instead worry about making a million smiles in their lifetime. Happiness for Gary is about leaving a legacy.
There are a lot of contemporaries Gary has in the world of entrepreneurship, who have no interest in producing any content, nor mentoring. They’d rather build empires among themselves and the people associated with them, which he respects, but for him, he’d be so unhappy if he didn’t air Tea With Gary Vee for free and if he didn’t live in a world wherein he is receiving emails from kids that were inspired and started stuff.
