Ryan’s Question or Topic

Ryan is a software engineer from Chicago. He recently had an idea of selling printed images on toilet paper. He was able to execute by starting a Shopify store, Facebook, and Instagram page, and successfully contacted a person who is willing to dropship. So far, Ryan sold two toilet papers, one for his mom and his best friend. So Ryan needs help on what to do moving forward, particularly with Facebook and Instagram ads.

Gary’s Story and Advices

Gary likes and recommends Instagram stories. They’re underpriced. Here’s a sample skit he would do if he were Ryan: “Hi Everyone! It’s Ryan. I’m about to tell you something crazy. I’ve started a toilet paper that we’ve printed things on. I know it’s crazy, and I know right now toilet paper is kind of like a thing in our culture. But I’m telling you, check it out. Swipe up.”

Because of how fast people go through Instagram stories, one has to win in the first three seconds or he’s dead. There should be a call to action to stop people from scrolling through and Gary believes that this happens when you show yourself on the video.
