Brian’s Question or Topic
Brian owns a company named Design Blendz in Philadelphia. They help people take the virtual world and turn it into a physical one. Fortunately, their company is still surviving despite the pandemic. So far, one of the issues that are plaguing his organization is the adaptation to work from home life. Everyone’s into the idea, but right now, they are feeling the woes of being away from each other.
Gary’s Story and Advices
Gary can relate to Brian’s situation. One of the phone calls Gary received from the leadership team is that people are experiencing burnout. One of the reasons for that is that some have their kids at home, and it’s making them stressed.
Gary is a collaborator by nature. One of the things leaders and CEOs have to do this time, no matter how many employees one has, is recognize that this work from home situation won’t stay for a long time. What Brian can do for now is to check up on his employees and give them realistic compassion.
