Ashly’s Question or Topic

Ashly owns a marketing agency in California. So far, half of her clients are following Gary’s advice at creating content. However, she also has a small segment of creatives like photographers, makeup artists, and guitar teachers that don’t necessarily have an audience to market with. So Ashly asks for Gary’s advice on how to give them support so that they can generate sales not only during the pandemic but during good times as well.

Gary’s Story and Advices

For some, it’s ‘Hey! We f*cking told you to build your community on the internet. You didn’t think that something like this could happen.’ But instead of saying those words, a suggestion of immediately starting to create a TikTok, LinkedIn, Youtube, and podcast will work for them. They could also go on Instagram live, perform on a guitar, and ask for tips.

Since they don’t have an audience to market, they’re not going to convert very high. And if they start by trying to sell right away, they can ruin their brand in perpetuity.
