John’s Question or Topic
John always wanted to be an entrepreneur, just like his dad. At the age of 11, John started a landscaping business. He experienced printing out flyers, knocking on door-to-door, and managed to acquire three clients, including his father.
When he was growing up, John came across an opportunity called Student Works Management Program, which teaches students how to begin and grow their first business while they’re still in university.
The program helped John to start and prosper a painting business. Nowadays, he is a mentor and a district manager on the same program. After all the achievements, he wants to know when is the right time to move on from a company.
Gary’s Story and Advices
Based on what Gary perceives, John is making a three-to-five-year decision. He must not come up with an arbitrary number that still allows him to be young when he’s done with it to go and do his own thing. Who knows, John can be a CEO one day.
