Colt’s Question or Topic

Colt is a sophomore in a high school from West Houston and has always been interested in entrepreneurship. Recently, with a large amount of free time due to coronavirus, he decided to execute the thing he wanted by opening a power washing business. And now, he is expanding it by the distribution of flyers to his neighborhood and word of mouth. His question is on how to turn a laptop, printer, and a severe amount of work ethic into business for someone his age.

Gary’s Story and Advices

Colt has a huge advantage in this situation, especially that it’s a local business. So the best way to go is Facebook Ads. Colt can run them on a five-mile radius. Target people that live in his area, people that are of a particular income, that could afford what he is trying to sell.

Colt needs to make 25 to 50 different pictures and videos, and find which one leads to most phone calls or emails. Then cut out the 22 that don’t do well and keep running the three that are performing better.

Ironically, one of the first hustles Gary did for Wine Library was the same as Cole. But if Facebook existed back then, he wouldn’t have had to do it.

“Anything that’s super local—pizza shop, a restaurant—Facebook Ads are by far the best play to go.” ~ Gary Vaynerchuk
