Becky’s Question or Topic

Becky is a health coach. She has a lot of great content ideas to put out and if it’s up to her, she would give everything for free. However, she also has bills to pay and has to provide for her family. So Becky wants to know where to draw the line between providing content for free and charging for it. She also asked Gary for his thoughts about spending time with her kid.

Gary’s Story and Advices

This is something that Gary has executed very well in the last ten years.

Gary thinks it’s about intent and this is where Becky should draw the line. Becky should put out all her best content for free. This will lead the people to trust her which in turn will lead them to be interested and pay for access to her. Becky needs to realize that what she is selling on the membership side is access, not content

On parenting:

If Becky’s child missed all third-grade curriculum between now and the end of the year, but he spent an hour talking and spending time with her, Gary believes that this will have a greater impact on her kid’s life when he gets old than getting his cursive writing or base multiplication down.
