Jeremiah’s Question or Topic

Jeremiah is a musician living in Boston. A couple of years ago, he switched up his content strategy and started making videos about cowboy boots and playing his songs at the end of the video for people to be aware that he does music. His strategy worked and he was able to grow his subscribers on Youtube to eight thousand. As he’s trying to increase sponsorships, Jeremiah wants to know how influencers should price themselves.

Gary’s Story and Advices

Gary talks about when he says that influencers don’t know how to price themselves is because they guess through their management or themselves. In Jeremiah’s case, he just needs to price as high as possible, and when the company he’s talking to says no, he just needs to lower the price. It’s an outreach game for Jeremiah so what he should do is to email all the boots company during the pandemic. He should play with different subject emails and pitch in order to get a reply.

In Gary’s case, doesn’t do brand deals, but he was a partner with K-Swiss once. Many companies approached him to endorse their brands on his podcast and offered mid-six figures, but he declined. To even consider doing brand deals, he would need a million dollars.

Also, when Gary learned that Jeremiah was not posting much on TikTok, he immediately asked him to start posting two TikToks a day.
